Poetry Month- The end

Yesterday was the mark of the end of Poetry month.

I’m sure you all probably didn’t even know there was such thing as a poetry month, I know, I’ve been there.

Ever since eighth grade, I started to like poetry a lot more than usual, keeping a notebook of my own set of poems.

I mean, you have to agree- poetry is way better than essays.

Let it go

So I’ve been feeling not so happy- not so myself lately, therefore I am going to cheer myself up and of course, in the process of doing so, going to make you chickeneers, crow with happiness. 🙂

Because I love y’all~

As some of you might know, The Grapes of Wrath is not so much a comical or romantic novel, more depressing than anything. But somehow, a point in the book made me crack up. Possible hint- the title of this post. There was a scene in the book where the Joad family finally settled in a quite peculiar camp called Hooverville.

Of course we all know what kind of beauty that place is right?

Fill My Hunger

12 O’Clock, sitting in front of my computer, my eyes can’t stop turning towards the kitchen, my stomach begging me for something to eat. The angel on my right side reminded me of my weight, that each kg lost is 1/2 a foot closer to my goal jump. The devil on my left was telling me of the satisfaction that I will get when I fill my stomach with the goodies.

2/14 Quote of the Day

“We are all born for love. It is the principle of existence, and its only end.”

-Benjamin Disraeli

Happy Valentines day to my lovely chickeneers~~

-Raining Chocolate

p.s. sorry for being late I thought I published it… hehehe

1/21 Quote of the Day

“My life is a constant battle between my love of food and not wanting to be fat.”

-Relatable Posts #676

I would definitely agree with that. Everyday I come home with the urge to stuff my face with the immense goodies, but the thought of another kg gained, another couple of inches lost in the jumps… it’s quite a hard battle.

7/10 Quote of the Day

Food quote

Helloooooo chickeneers! It’s been a while, eh? I’ve missed posting, but I’ve been especially busy these days, even though summer’s supposed to be easier. However, I’m going to try my best and keep consistent on posting up these quotes daily! If I can’t, please bare with me, I’ll post them up again ASAP! Today’s quote is true, you can’t do anything well if you haven’t eaten enough! That’s a major reason why breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day~

6/14 Quote of the Day

“Be happier. Smile more. Love harder. Dream bigger. Achieve things beyond your wildest imagination with cupcakes.”

-Cupcake quotes

Yes, I shall do exactly that.

6/1 Quote of the Day

” There is no sight on earth more appealing than the sight of a woman making dinner for someone she loves.”  ~Thomas Wolfe

There’s a saying in korea that marriage with a beautiful woman lasts about 1 yrs, marriage with a kind woman is 3 yrs, and marriage with a woman who can cook well lasts forever.

Aren’t I glad I can cook? :b

5/30 Quote of the Day

“We all eat, and it would be a sad waste of opportunity to eat badly. ”

-Anna Thomas.

That’s so true! Might as well eat like a king, right? Do what you love doing, eat what you love eating. in moderation of course.

5/26 Quote of the Day

“In my experience, anybody besides your mom that feeds you is going to want something in exchange for it.”

― Karen Marie Moning, Iced (Dani O’Malley #1)

It’s a little bit depressing that we can’t fully trust anyone besides our parents in this world…. On a lighter note, it shows that we love our parents to bits and pieces! ❤
