“Part of the secret of success in life is to eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside.” – Mark Twain.
Hello food and book lovers! We’re three student gourmets that are on a mission to make your mouth drool and your mind think.
Raining Chocolate: I LOVE to do things that make my heart leap. Whether it be sprinting all out in the heat, jumping into the sand pit, painting to my heart’s content, singing at the top of my lungs in the shower, or dancing in the rain, I’m very enthusiastic about them. I’m a risk-taker; from wanting to snowboard, skydive, bungee jump, water ski, to trying new classes and new foods. Food. Yes, the delicious, juicy steak and the just out of the oven cookies dripping with dark chocolate. Of course, I can’t skip my country’s famous- Korean BBQ. Sitting in a crowded and noisy restaurant, fire ablaze, tender meat cooking right in front of your eyes…sorry. Getting overboard eh? Well that’s me- very descriptive and crazy girl. I smile and laugh a lot- that’s one of the best things about me. But I’m not just a outgoing risk-taker; I also have another side of me that’s totally unexpected. I love to read, write stories and haikus, and I love making up of quotes. Quotes are awesome. My all time favorite: Learn from the past, live in the present, look for the future. I also had quite a few appointments with my school friends about their issues in life. Way back since 6th grade, my friends came to me privately- whether it be through person, letters, or text- about whatever that troubles them. I always take them in with loving care, and help them. Because sometimes, you have something that troubles you and you want to tell someone, but you don’t know if you should trust your friends, and it’s hard to tell it to your parents. That’s why I’m like their second mom. Or I should say their closest sister. I care about them like they were really my sisters or brothers. Feel free to tell me anything- whatever made you happy, sad, troubled, or just weird, and I’ll be there for you~ 🙂
P.S. Just so you know- my all time favorite books are the maximum ride series. I Love Nike and I’m kind of a shoe-a-holic — I am obsessed with Nike shoes, ESPECIALLY their high tops. I was born in Korea but I came to America when I was 7, and I LOVE K-POP and K-Drama. I’m very proud to be a Korean but that ain’t mean I discriminate others. I think everyone has their own specialty. I just think Koreans are pretty awesome~ 🙂 Oh, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to travel. My dream was to travel all over US, Europe, and Korea. If you want to know more about me just ask~
[The rest of the admin are unfortunately not with us amazing chickeneers anymore]
Cinnamon Roll: I’m optimistic, ambitious, and determined. I love swimming, eating, surfing the web, and reading. I bake in my free time, whether it be cookies, breads, cupcakes, or muffins. My favorite books are the Airhead series and the I am Number Four series. I like to travel, mostly because I enjoy learning about different cultures. When I have the time to, I’d like to travel around Asia and Europe. I hate being tired. If I didn’t have to sleep, the time could be spent doing other things. I’m a listener. I like to smile. I’m always open to trying new things. I believe I’m different than what most people make me out to be. Feel free to talk to me, I’m here for you. 🙂
MetriDee: Who am I? I’m the most charming person you’ll ever meet. Not buying it? Neither am I. However, I am charismatic, quirky, inquisitive, and passionate about everything I do. I believe in working hard and playing hard. I adore listening to and playing music, eating, playing volleyball, cooking, sleeping, reading, and writing. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else but California with its constant sunshine, caffeine-crazed people, and especially the immense diversity of cultures. A few bits and pieces of my aspirations for the future comprise of fulfilling my dream of visiting every corner of the (albeit, spherical) planet, being able to do what I love for a living, and having a tight-knit group of lifelong companions by my side. Although I can be overly-dramatic and headstrong, I am also compassionate and care a great deal about others’ well-being. Someday, I intend to leave my legacy here because like Coco Chanel once said, “In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.”
