Eating Habits

Hello there chickeneers~ long time no talk eh? So I’ve been thinking of posting a while ago but due to my unexpectedly busy schedule, I had to push my posting till now~
To think about it, I had bought the DVD for Les Miserables and watched it. It wa quite a touching musical which impacted a lot of points. One point that touched me the most was the fact that people there would do anything for food and home- the two necessary things in life. A lot of you all know the importance of homes as you would feel when you come home from a long vacation, so I’ll touch on the food.

As summer started and I met up with my cousins to go on a tour round famous places in California and beyond, I found out how important food is. During the tour, our regular schedule was to wake up at 4 in the morning, and eat breakfast at 5. You’re probably thinking, how is she able to do such a thing? Well truth be told, it was had at first. I am normally a person who skip breakfast, but knowing that between then and lunch, there was going to be a lot going on so I decided I should at least force feed myself. Of course, I had to go through a lot to become as wise as that.

Remember how I had said that I used to not eat breakfast? Well because I’m a type of person who gets hungry often, I would eat something at 9, then a part of lunch at 11, and would eat the rest of lunch at, well, lunch time. When I get home, I’ll be tired and hungry because I used up all my energy at track, so I would eat dinner at 4. But I would be hungry by the time it was 7 so I would eat like a fruit or something. But this happened almost daily until I got a big problem.

7/15 Quote of the Day

He who comes first, eats first.

Eike von Repkow (~1220)Sachsenspiegel

It’s a simple quote today, but it’s something I live by. Whenever my mother screams, “Dinner’s ready!” I jump out of my seat, regardless of what I’m doing, and rush out to eat. It’s a habit now!

7/13 Quote of the Day

Worries go down better with soup.

-Jewish Proverb

Seeeeee, even religion advocates eating and food! Of course, this is definitely true, because I always down soup or coffee when I’m feeling blue or nervous, like right before a test. It’s just that nice warm sensation in my tummy that makes all the difference. Is that the same for you guys? Let me know! 🙂

7/11 Quote of the Day

“I prefer my oysters fried; that way I know my oysters died.”

– Roy G. Blount, Jr.

Oh my… Well I guess that’s a good reason to get fried oysters! They’re so delicious! Oh, and let’s not forget about combining foods; fried oysters and french fries? I call that fried heaven.

Food quote

Helloooooo chickeneers! It’s been a while, eh? I’ve missed posting, but I’ve been especially busy these days, even though summer’s supposed to be easier. However, I’m going to try my best and keep consistent on posting up these quotes daily! If I can’t, please bare with me, I’ll post them up again ASAP! Today’s quote is true, you can’t do anything well if you haven’t eaten enough! That’s a major reason why breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day~

7/2 Quote of the Day

“I want to lose weight by eating nothing but moon pies, which have significantly less gravity than earthier foods such as fruits and vegetables.”

-Jarod Kintz

My first moon pie was a parent teacher conference in 4th grade. That was my last time. I still remember how it looked, tasted, felt, smelled… ummmm~

Add moon pies to the list of space foods like dried ice cream~
